Times are changing! From May 1, 2023, no new marketing claims are allowed against ACEA 2016, and from May 1, 2024, no further marketing of oils to ACEA 2016 claims is allowed at all. All formulations making performance claims must meet ACEA 2022 requirements.
ACEA E8 is a new category which brings an increased focus to enhanced piston cleanliness, with the introduction of the OM471 test, alongside oxidation and aeration performance with the inclusion of established ASTM engine tests (Volvo T-13 y Caterpillar COAT) developed for API CK-4, which also feature in the new ACEA E11 category.
La ACEA E4 y la ACEA E7 siguen cumpliendo con los requisitos de los motores heredados, con cambios realizados a las opciones de prueba de limpieza del pistón en ambos.
